A Powerful Afternoon it Was!!
Echoes from 1968: From Tragedy to Understanding was an afternoon filled with powerful stories and meaningful dialogue. A lot was learned as we navigated these crucial conversations about our shared history.
It was heartwarming to witness shared hugs and reunions among people from all backgrounds—not just to remember, but to learn and grow together. Our Land of Promise is not only committed to honoring African American heritage but also to bridging gaps and promoting understanding among all people.
A special thank you to the Berea Arts Council for being an invaluable partner in this event. Thank you to everyone who participated and listened. Let’s keep the dialogue going!
