Choose a Black historical figure from Madison County and explain how their legacy is still relevant today. How can their actions or beliefs inspire us to create a more inclusive and welcoming community for everyone.
"The Power of Unity: How Black History Shapes Our Future"
In what ways can the struggles and successes of Black individuals in Madison County help us understand the importance of inclusivity today? Choose a local Black Settlement of Madison County whose history represents unity, resilience, and hope. Submission Guidelines:
To be eligible for one of the top 3 prizes, your essay must meet these requirements:
Essays must be typed in 12 pt, Times New Roman font
Essays should be between 500 and 800 words in length
Please include your name, school, and grade level at the top of your essay
